Something exciting is coming! (And it’s not socks)

Remember how you felt at Christmas when you were a kid? Racing downstairs and shaking all those brightly-wrapped boxes trying to work out which were the good presents and which were… well… socks?

That’s us now.

We’ve got something exciting on the way, and it’s definitely not a pair of argyles. We’re not going to tell you what we’re up to just yet; we’re gonna wrap it up, put a little bow on it and keep it nice and safe under the tree.

But hey, no surprise is complete without a bit of antici…

…pation

So here’s a little sneak peek at what’s coming.

A couple of weeks ago we got together with the geniuses at Creative Spark to take a good look in the mirror. We liked what we saw (Matt’s incredibly handsome, how could we not?), but we also got to know ourselves a bit more.

Creative Spark split us into groups and asked us a few questions about who we are as an agency and what we’ve accomplished in the past. No stone was left unturned as we got to grips with everything, including the kind of headlines we want to see about ourselves in the future.

Our Head of Search Aisha’s team even went so far as to create a newspaper front page to put those headlines on – and won a pineapple for the trouble!

“I loved it!,” said Aisha, who’s been with Fast Web for 10 years. “It’s great to look back at what we’ve achieved. You forget about so much of it because there’s always another great project to move on to, but it makes you feel really proud, and helps you see where we can go in the future too.”

Our people have been the secret sauce of our success over the last 25 years, and the session was a great opportunity for our newest recruit and snack hoarder – Social Media Executive, Alex – to get to know everyone in more depth. “I’ve only been here a month, but I’ve already seen what an amazing bond there is between everyone.

“Working in smaller groups and then presenting the findings to the team was a great way for everyone to have their say and let their personality shine through. I feel like I know the company, its history and everyone in it much more now.”

That’s your lot for now, but we’ll be unwrapping more info very soon, so check back and keep an eye on our social channels.
